1. Who we are

This website is run by Ankita Enterprises, which also trades as Ankita Engineering, at Sr No 20, Ambegaon Pathar, Pune 411046, Maharashtra, India (GSTIN (India): 27ALMPB6913A1ZH). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect

• Enquiry forms: your name, company, email address, phone number, country, project details, your NDA preference, and your confirmation that you agree to this policy.
• Email, phone and WhatsApp: whatever you choose to send us when you write, call or message us on WhatsApp, including your phone number and WhatsApp profile name.
• Technical data: our hosting provider may process technical data such as your IP address in server logs, for security and to deliver the site.

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party fonts or scripts.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quotation and carry out work you ask us to do. This is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract, and for our legitimate interest in running our business.
• To keep records we are required to keep, such as invoices and tax records under Indian law.
• Where you tick the consent box on a form, we also rely on your consent.

We do not sell personal data, we do not send marketing emails unless you ask for them, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means.

4. Confidential drawings and NDAs

We handle NDAs, and we are happy to sign one before you share any drawings, models or other data. Please do not send confidential drawings through the website form. Once an NDA is in place, we will agree a secure way for you to share files.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the website and our business, such as our website hosting and form-handling provider (Netlify, Inc.) and our email provider, and with professional advisers or authorities where the law requires. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp handles that message under its own privacy policy. The WhatsApp links on this site load nothing from WhatsApp until you click them. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.

6. International transfers

We are based in India. Form submissions are processed by our hosting provider, which may store data in other countries, including the United States. If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, this means your data is transferred outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. If we carry out work for you, we keep project and invoice records for as long as the law requires, which under Indian tax law is several years.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can also ask for access, correction and erasure, and use our grievance contact below.

To use any of these rights, email umesh@ankitaengineering.com. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, for example the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK, or the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Security

This website is served over HTTPS, and we take reasonable steps to protect personal data from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, which is another reason to wait for an NDA before sending confidential files.

10. Children

This website is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
